Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies are mourning the loss of Retired Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Sergeant Bobby Gilmore who passed away March 17, 2023.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Millers Funeral Home on Renwick in Monroe. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31st at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville.
Sgt. Gilmore began his career at OPSO in the Corrections Division in 1990. He later transferred to the Court Support Division where he worked until he retired in 2006 after serving 16 years. Bobby was well liked and respected by those who knew and worked with him, both at OPSO and the 4th Judicial District Court.
