The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office will offer a CCW class in two segments, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 and Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Tuesday’s class will consist of Classroom presentation and no guns will be needed. Thursday’s class will be firearm qualification and firearms are required. Participants will need to bring their own pistol in good working order, 50 rounds of ammunition, along with safety glasses and hearing protection for this class.
Attendance for both class segments is required.
Both classes begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office-North Delta Training Academy Building at the Ouachita Parish Public Rifle Range, 268 Sheriff Richard Fewell Road in West Monroe. The building is the first building to the right as you enter through the Range gate.
Fee Schedule:
One participant: $100.00
Renewal for one: $75.00
Family Package: $150.00
**Family package is for 2 members only of immediate family-husband & wife, father and son or daughter, or mother and son or daughter that live in same household.
Payment must be cash or personal check only. Debit & credit cards not accepted.
Completion of the course will meet the requirements to apply for a Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit or renew a current permit. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of training to send in with your permit application.
