Recently, Deputy LaWanka Roberts was recognized for her work by the faculty at Swayze Elementary School in Monroe. Deputy Roberts received the Outstanding Community Partner Award in recognition of her efforts and services at Swayze. Deputy Roberts is a 6 ½ year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and is currently assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division. Sheriff Russell expresses his appreciation of Dy. Robert’s work and her commitment to help the students in our parish. Sheriff Russell and Deputy Roberts both appreciate Dr. Dana Jenkins and the faculty at Swayze for honoring Deputy Roberts.
