Earlier today, Sheriff Russell presented Noah Bates the Sheriff’s Good Samaritan Award, recognizing him for rendering aid in an attempt to save the life of a young drowning victim on April 19, 2023. Mr. Bates was notified a swimmer had been in distress in a swimming pool. He immediately went to the location and began administering CPR in an effort to save the life of the victim. He continued to do so until medical personnel arrived and relieved him.
