Early Monday morning, March 2, 2015, deputies responded to a burglar alarm at a business in northwestern Ouachita Parish. As a result, Zebulon Paul Gentry, age 36, Rayville, LA, has been arrested and charged with 1 count of Simple Burglary. Responding deputies observed a vehicle leaving the business location of the alarm as they arrived. A traffic stop of the vehicle was executed at that point. Items consisting of welding equipment, copper tubing and a meter base were observed in and around the vehicle. Further investigation revealed these items had been taken by the suspect from the business a few minutes earlier. All items that were stolen have been recovered.
Sheriff Russell is proud of the patrol deputies for their quick response and clearing the burglary with the arrest.
