Sheriff Jay Russell and Deputies of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office are mourning the loss of Reserve Deputy John Andrew Newbold. Deputy Newbold passed away February 15, 2022.
John joined the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Reserve Unit in 2005, donating his time as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff assisting in the day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office. He achieved his POST Certification in 2014. While he took his public service very seriously, one of his most notable traits was his personality and sense of humor. He always made a positive impact on anyone he met.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Christ Church Chapel in West Monroe. Visitation will be in the chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Please remember to keep his family, friends and Deputies in your Prayers during this time.
